Emeka Okonji, external lecturer

Emeka Okonji works as the senior monitoring and evaluation manager at Right to Care, which was one of the first organisations in South Africa to make HIV treatment publicly available. He shares his theoretical expertise and first-hand practical experience when teaching the PgDip study unit on monitoring and evaluation, which he has done since 2022. “Monitoring and evaluation are important tools for understanding whether a project or programme is on track and achieving its objectives. It can help identify potential problems before they become critical to adjust the project strategy or resources accordingly.”

Away from work, Emeka enjoys a challenging game a of chess.
