Tendai Mariri is a lecturer in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at Stellenbosch University. His teaching and research interests include labour relations, labour law and labour market dynamics as well as occupational health and safety.
Tendai is a firm believer in and advocate for sustainable development, especially around the promotion of decent work through the creation and sustenance of inclusive, healthy and safe workplaces. He has been teaching the corporate social responsibility (CSR) study unit to PgDip (until 2023) and MPhil students since 2018.
When Tendai is not teaching or researching, he loves to explore his deep-seated passion for wildlife and Africa, with its diverse people and rich culture, by watching documentaries while sipping on a glass of red wine. When he has more time, he takes the opportunity to travel and experience the places he sees on TV first-hand.
